Candle Care

We want you to get the best out of your candle, and stay safe, so here are some tips for caring for your candle:-

  1. Ensure your candle is lit in a well-ventilated room.  Drafts can cause sooting around the container and cause quicker, uneven burning.
  1. On the first burn, allow the wax to pool to the edges of the container, otherwise your candle can "tunnel" (a build up of wax around the edge of the container which doesn't burn).  This will allow you to get more out of your candle.
  1. After the first time, burn your candle for a maximum of 2 hours (otherwise the wick can move).
  1. Do not allow your candle to burn to the very bottom of the container.  Stop burning the candle when there is around 10mm of wax left.
  1. Keep the wax pool clear of any kind of debris, such as wick trimmings.  Any debris can cause your candle to burn faster.
  1. Extinguish the flame with a snuffer, then straighten the wick once cool.
  1. When the wax has set, trim the wick to 5mm after every burn.  This will prevent high flames and smoking.
  1. Avoid spraying household products around the candle.
  1. You can avoid condensation on your candle by storing correctly. Store your candle in a cool, dry place and cover with a lid when not in use.
